Riccardo Zamuner

Violin

Riccardo Zamuner, a Neapolitan violinist, is regularly invited to perform at the most prestigious Italian and international concert institutions, including the Berlin Philharmonic, the Central Concert Hall in Astana, the Royal Opera House of Oman, the Chigiana Academy of Siena,

and the Museum of Violin in Cremona.

Born in 1997, he graduated from the "S. Pietro a Majella" Conservatory in Naples, earning a degree in the Master's Course in violin, viola, and baroque violin. He also obtained a diploma in violin perfection with Sonig Tchakerian at the National Academy of Santa Cecilia in Rome and a Master of Arts in Music Performance at the Lugano Conservatory with Pavel Berman. From 2016 to 2021, he participated in summer courses of high musical perfection with Salvatore Accardo at the Chigiana Academy of Siena, receiving the diploma of honor in 2019, and at the "W. Stauffer" Academy in Cremona. Alongside his solo activity, he has conducted an intense chamber music activity, collaborating with internationally renowned artists such as Salvatore Accardo, Bruno Giuranna, Bruno Canino, Mario Brunello, Sonig Tchakerian, Lilya Zilberstein, Benedetto Lupo, Luigi Piovano, Simone Bernardini, and David Geringas.

In the spring of 2021, he recorded his first CD in duo with pianist Emanuele Delucchi for CIDIM and SUONARE RECORDS. Since 2022, he has held the position of concertmaster and conductor of the orchestra Accademia di Santa Sofia. He is the creator and artistic director of the chamber ensemble "I Virtuosi di Sansevero," which debuted in 2017 in the Sansevero Chapel in Naples. He is currently a violin professor at the Gesualdo da Venosa Conservatory in Potenza.

He plays a Giuseppe Antonio Rocca violin from 1855 and a Eugene Nicolas Sartory bow on loan from the Takeuchi Collection through the Nippon Violin Society program.
