Dutch pianist, hailed by De Volkskrant as "the poet of the piano".

Born into a family with rich musical traditions. Nicolas began taking piano lessons at the age of six, and then continued his studies with David Kuyken and Jan Wijn at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. He also studied under the wings of renowned pianists, such as: Martha Argerich,

Murray Perahia and Alfred Brendel.

Nicolas van Poucke has been performing intensively from an early age, both in his country and abroad.

As a soloist, he performs regularly with many European orchestras. In the last season, Nicolas performed with a rich recital program in prestigious venues, such as: Het Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Concertgebouw de Vereeniging Nijmegen. He made his debut at London's Royal Festival Hall with Chineke! Orchestra conducted by Roderick Cox, performing Beethoven's Third Piano Concerto.

His discography continues to grow, and his latest solo album In The Moment is a vinyl album with two unedited versions of Beethoven's sonatas. The album received excellent reviews in the Netherlands and abroad, praising the pianist's technical skill and emotional depth. Previous disk

The Schumann Collection Vol. l , also received great reviews, with critics noting Nicolas van Poucke's ability to approach "Schumann's musically and psychologically complex world with natural ease". The eagerly awaited release of The Schumann Collection Vol. ll is scheduled for 2024.
